Academic Integrity

Expected conduct

Students must submit their own work, acknowledge sources correctly, follow assessment instructions and maintain honest research records.

Prohibited conduct

Plagiarism, contract cheating, impersonation, fabricated data, unauthorised assistance, examination misconduct and falsified documents are prohibited.

Use of artificial intelligence

AI tools may be used only where permitted and must not replace the student's own learning, reasoning or authorship. Required disclosure and citation rules must be followed.

Investigation and outcomes

Suspected misconduct may be investigated. Outcomes may include education, resubmission, mark penalties, failure, suspension, withdrawal of admission or cancellation of an award, depending on seriousness.
